West Gate Freeway and Western Corridor Updates

In the west, the West Gate Freeway is undergoing intensive surfacing works. Commuters will find the freeway reduced to three lanes in both directions between Williamstown Road and Millers Road. These works are part of the final stages of the West Gate Tunnel Project. Drivers are encouraged to choose their lanes early, particularly those transitioning from the M80 Ring Road or Princes Freeway, as express lanes and local exit lanes are now clearly delineated to manage the flow toward the city.

For those using the rail network, the Werribee Line continues to face scheduled evening disruptions. Buses will replace trains from 8:30 pm tonight until the last service. This is the final night of the current maintenance block, with normal train services expected to resume on Friday morning.
