• Clinical Context: Healthcare professionals have been advised to maintain a high index of suspicion for atypical pneumonia in patients who have recently visited these areas. Investigations are ongoing to identify the source of the bacteria, including the testing of local cooling towers.

Major Roadworks and Transport Disruptions

Transport Victoria and the City of Melbourne have scheduled essential maintenance and infrastructure installations for Sunday, 22 March. Please plan for the following disruptions:

• Western Ring Road (Derrimut): Northbound lane closures will be in effect between Fitzgerald Road and the Western Ring Road from 9:00 PM Sunday until 5:00 AM Monday for asphalt resurfacing. Detours are in place via Railway Crescent and Somerton Road.
